How to Pass Class 10 Science in 5 Days (Guaranteed 40+ Marks)

Are you panicked about the Pass Class 10 Science Board Exam?

The syllabus is huge (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), but you don’t need to study everything to pass. You only need 27 Marks out of 80 to pass the theory exam.

Follow this 5-Day Strategy to ignore the hard chapters and focus on the “Mark-Scoring” ones. We have selected the easiest chapters that carry the most marks so you can Pass Class 10 Science without stress.

Follow this 5-Day Strategy to ignore the hard chapters and focus on the “Mark-Scoring” ones.

Day 1: Chemistry (The “Easy” 15 Marks) – Pass Class 10 Science

Start with Chemistry because it is logical and scoring.

  • Chapter 1: Chemical Reactions:
    • Memorize Types of Reactions (Combination, Decomposition, Displacement, Double Displacement).
    • Practice Balancing Equations (1 guaranteed question).
  • Chapter 2: Acids, Bases, and Salts:
    • Memorize the Uses of Baking Soda, Washing Soda, Bleaching Powder, and Plaster of Paris. (Direct 3-mark question).
    • pH Scale importance in daily life.

Day 2: Biology (Life Processes – 10 Marks)

This single chapter carries huge weightage. Do not skip it!

  • Key Diagrams to Practice:
    1. Human Digestive System: Label stomach, liver, pancreas.
    2. Human Heart: Double circulation diagram.
    3. Excretory System: Structure of Nephron (just labeling).
  • Key Processes: Photosynthesis reaction, Aerobic vs Anaerobic Respiration.

Day 3: Physics (Light – 8 Marks)

This chapter is purely mathematical. If you know the formulas, you get full marks.

  • Ray Diagrams: Practice the 6 cases for Concave Mirror and 2 cases for Convex Lens. (One diagram will definitely come).
  • Formulas: Mirror Formula, Lens Formula, and Magnification (m = -v/u or v/u).
  • Refractive Index: Snell’s Law (n = sin i / sin r).

Day 4: Electricity & Human Eye (12 Marks)

  • Electricity:
    • Ohm’s Law (V = IR): Draw the circuit diagram.
    • Series vs Parallel: Know that Series adds Resistance (R = R1 + R2) and Parallel reduces it.
    • Power & Heating: Formula P = VI and H = I^2Rt
  • Human Eye:
    • Defects of Vision: Draw the correction diagrams for Myopia (Near-sightedness) and Hypermetropia (Far-sightedness). This is a free 3 marks! Pass Class 10 Science

Day 5: The “Free Marks” Chapter (Our Environment)

Do not go to the exam hall without reading “Our Environment”. It gives 5 Marks for just 30 minutes of study.

  • Topics: Food Chain & Food Web, 10% Law of Energy, Ozone Layer Depletion, Biodegradable vs Non-biodegradable waste.

Top 5 Diagrams You Must Draw

Even if you forget the answer, draw these diagrams to get step marks:

  1. Binary Fission in Amoeba (Biology).
  2. Structure of a Flower / Germination of Pollen (Biology).
  3. Refraction through a Glass Prism (Physics).
  4. Formation of Rainbow (Physics).
  5. Electron Dot Structure of CO2 and CH4 (Chemistry).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Can I skip “Carbon and its Compounds”?

A: Yes, if you find it hard. It is a difficult chapter. Focus on “Metals and Non-Metals” (Ionic compounds properties) instead to make up the marks.

Q: Is the “Magnetic Effects” chapter important?

A: Yes, but it is tricky. Just memorize the Right-Hand Thumb Rule and Field lines around a straight conductor/solenoid. Skip the complex motor/generator parts if you are running out of time.

Q: How to write answers in Science?

A: Never write long paragraphs. Always write in bullet points. For 3-mark questions, write 3 clear points. Underline the keywords (like “Enzymes”, “Refraction”, “Displacement”).
